Let me share a terrible online shopping experience I had recently, not just as a complaint, but as a warning to others. I was truly shocked by the dishonesty I encountered. I ordered glasses and paid an extra $19.95 for 'next day delivery,' which their site clearly stated was an option. Hours later, I got an email saying my order would take '3 business days' to process. This company is nothing more than an automated business that cares nothing about its customers; they’re a fraud, ripping customers off for services they charge for and do NOT provide. I felt compelled to contact customer service to demand a refund for the misleading shipping fee, but it was nearly impossible to reach a human.
Customer: My order was supposed to be 'next day delivery,' but I received an email stating it will take 3 business days. I paid $19.95 for next-day service, and this is unacceptable. I need that fee refunded immediately. CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the discrepancy between the advertised delivery time and the email you received. Our system sometimes shows "next-day" eligibility based on frame availability, but prescription lenses do require additional processing time. Customer: That's not what was advertised when I checked out. It clearly said "eligible for next day delivery." I paid for a service you're not providing. What are you going to do about the $19.95 I was charged? CS Rep: I completely understand. While I cannot process an immediate refund from this department, I can certainly escalate this request to our billing team for review and a full refund of your shipping fee. Customer: And how long will that take? Because so far, everything has been a delay or a broken promise. I just want what I paid for, or my money back.
